The new Watkins Memorial High School in the Southwest Licking Local School District is a sight to behold. Designed at just under 250,000 square feet, the new school building is ready for 1,200 students but can hold up to 1,600 if needed. This project was completed through the collaboration of Garmann Miller Architects and Roberston Construction Co. Completed in August of 2021, this massive undertaking included several scopes of work awarded to Farnham Equipment Company (FEC).

Throughout the music rooms, art rooms, storage facilities, media center, and general classrooms, FEC provided and installed laminate educational casework from Stevens Industries Inc.  In the new science labs, FEC provided and installed Heritage Oak wood laboratory casework from Institutional Casework Inc. (ICI/Campbell Rhea).

An auditorium features 792 new Hussey Seating Company Quattro Traditional Series auditorium chairs with pleasing fabrics to compliment the other finishes in this space.

In the new main gymnasium, FEC provided and installed four banks of MAXAM telescopic bleachers with black courtside seats from Hussey Seating Company to seat approx. 2,000 spectators.  An additional seating bank was installed in the auxiliary gym. The athletic equipment in the new gymnasiums was provided by Performance Sports Systems. Basketball backstops, a batting cage, wall pads, and a roll-up divider curtain were some of the features installed.

This project was one of several projects FEC has been awarded in the Southwest Licking Local School District over the past couple of years. FEC’s reliability and diverse product line allow it to be competitive in the educational landscape, and its quality installation team has provided Southwest Licking Local with a great resource for installation and ongoing preventative maintenance for years to come.
