Project Name: Whitmer High School Bleacher Replacement
Owner: Washington Local School District
Architect: Stough and Stough Architects
Scope: Provide and Install Telescopic Bleachers, Clarin Seating and Customized Scorers Tables
Completion Date: July 2020

A part of a competitive district when it came to basketball, Whitmer High School knew their bleachers needed replacing. After waiting for the past couple years, Whitmer decided to move forward with revamping their gymnasium. With a rich history and a great fan base, they were looking for something to bring the whole gymnasium together. Farnham Equipment Company positioned itself to be a perfect solution to its dilemma.

Farnham Equipment Company delivered and installed two blanks of Maxam Bleachers, seating over 1200 spectators. The bleachers included Auto-Rotating Aisle Rails as well as customized end curtains. Allied Scoring Tables, Inc. provided scorers tables with custom graphics for school spirit that complemented Clarin Chairs with the Panthers Logo.  Farnham went back and forth with Whitmer’s Athletic Director to create the logos for the chairs, end curtains and scorers tables.

Farnham Equipment Company used this project as a demonstration to the Maintenance Staff on how to operate new bleachers systems. The owner and Project Architect also attended to see the final product, both of which commented on the excellent job Farnham did. Farnham was able to finish this job three weeks ahead of the deadline, something that was very favorable to the school district.  Hussey Seating Company has the best lead times in the industry, making this challenging deadline within Farnham’s ability.

Director of Facilities Jay Merritt commended the quality of the installation crew and highlighted the quality of the finished bleachers. Project Architect Craig Stough was impressed on Farnham’s ability to finish the project well ahead of its scheduled end date.
