Amherst Steele High School desired to renovate its gymnasium with new paint, new banners for its sports programs, and new seating. They reached out to Farnham Equipment Company (FEC) for assistance with the removal of their existing seating and the installation of new bleachers.
Working with the school Superintendent, maintenance staff, and athletic director, it was clear to FEC that some customization for this project was in order. Special finishes were required to mirror the tones throughout the rest of the gymnasium. And, customized school branding was desired to show off the renovated facility.
After the removal of the existing dated seating, FEC installed Hussey Seating Company MAXAM bleachers with custom green courtside seats to match the finish of the school’s banners and wall padding. The two banks of bleachers seat approx. 1,000 spectators. Each bank features custom green and yellow seats in an alternating color design and optional custom Xtreme graphic logos. Additional options include auto-rotating aisle rails, a media platform, and end safety curtains with graphic logos.
This project included several iterations of customized drawings and adaptations to ensure the desired outcome. While other work in the gymnasium was progressing, FEC’s team of installers was able to remove and dispose of the existing bleachers. FEC then returned to the site later and installed the new bleachers. The end result is a fantastic-looking set of new bleachers customized to fit Amherst’s updated gymnasium. The combination of customized designs, logos and finishes really sets this gymnasium apart for the upcoming season.
