East Knox Local Schools started design work for a new 7-12 school for the district in 2020, and the project was completed in the summer of 2022.  Elford Construction and Fanning & Howey Associates were tasked to manage and design the facility, and Farnham Equipment Company (FEC) received awards to provide various scopes of work.

FEC installed Advantage Casework from Stevens Industries throughout the new building.   From traditional classrooms and receptionist areas to the family consumer sciences wing, the timeless Fusion Maple casework finish and contrasting Sterling Ash countertops fit nicely with the East Knox bright purple and white school colors and room finishes.

In the gymnasium, FEC’s in-house installation team installed two banks of Maxam telescopic bleachers from Hussey Seating Co. that seat over 1,000 spectators.  A traditional Purple color was chosen for the Courtside Seats to add school spirit. Hussey’s Flex-row first-tier seating design provides the code-required ADA spaces and companion seats.  In addition, a roll-up divider curtain by Performance Sports Systems (PSS) was installed to provide separation for practices being held in the new gymnasium.

This project is a good reflection of the multiple scopes of work FEC can provide for new projects. With available casework, bleachers, and athletic equipment, FEC is also well-positioned to deliver a large scope of work for renovated or upgraded facilities within the States of Ohio and Michigan.
