Project Overview
Wilmington College was in a position to use some of its funding to upgrade its gymnasium at Fred Raizk Arena. As the college reviewed its options, it discovered Farnham Equipment Company (FEC) and reached out for an initial meeting. Following an initial site visit, layout and design services, and conversations surrounding the timing and preferences for the project, the college was thrilled to award FEC the work on both its gymnasium bleachers and additional upgrades of its athletic equipment.
This was a major project for FEC, highlighting its bleachers in a Division III college such as Wilmington College. The school was appreciative of the professionalism and expediency FEC’s team worked to remove the existing bleachers and install the new ones ahead of the 2025 season.
Key Project Features
1. Telescoping Bleachers: Hussey Seating Company
The new telescopic bleachers at Wilmington College were provided by Hussey Seating Company, delivered and installed by FEC’s installation crews. This includes (2) banks of seating featuring:
- Seating for over 1,300 spectators
- Auto-rotating aisle rails
- Legend Green Seats
- End Curtains on the upper mezzanine bleachers
- Recoverable ADA seats via Flex-Row
