Project Overview
The origins of the bleacher seating upgrade project at the Escanaba Schools football stadium began with a fundraising campaign led by Linda Beauchamp. The school, situated right along Little Bay De Noc, sought to replace the existing wooden seats in its football stadium with new aluminum seats. With Farnham Equipment Company’s (FEC) reputation spreading throughout the state, the school board eventually sought the expertise and advice of FEC’s Service Solutions Consultant, David DeCan.
After site visits, layouts, proposals, and eventual fundraising efforts, the school committed to having FEC handle this project from start to finish. During the fundraising stage, Beauchamp cited the flyover video as a key reason for generating excitement and a tangible vision of what could be for the school’s stadium.
FEC provided parts and labor to replace the wood seating with new anodized aluminum seating, along with 150 VIP fusion seats mounted to the risers through Hussey Seating Company. The end product is nothing short of spectacular.
The Escanaba Football Stadium project is perhaps the greatest highlight for FEC’s short time in Michigan. It exemplifies why customers choose FEC: a commitment to a customer’s vision, the solutions to make it happen, and the professionalism to ensure confidence from start to finish.
Key Project Features
1. Outdoor Bleacher Upgrades
The new stadium upgrades at Escanaba High School Stadium include:
- Providing and installing new anodized aluminum seats to all seating sections on the Escanaba Football Stadium
- New seat planks have all the attachment hardware and end caps for installation.
- Installation of the seat sections back to the current seat sizes that exist.
- Attaching the seat support brackets with New Galvanized LDT 3/8″ x 2 1/2″ tapcon screw anchors in new hole locations.
- Powder coating all the anodized aluminum seat planks
- Fusion Chairs by Hussey Seating Company for tiers 1-5 in seating sections on each side of the vomitory, totalling 150 seats
- Fusion chairs to include seat letters, row letters, and donor plates
