Carlisle Local Schools passed a significant bond issue to invest in the construction of a new Carlisle K-12 building in an effort to combine four existing aging schools into one facility.

As it stood, there were estimations of $51 million to build, as the district looked for a modern design. Ultimately, SHP Leading Design and Skanska USA Building were requested to collaborate on the project. In addition, Mark Spaulding Construction received the General Trades contract on the project. As a result, Farnham Equipment Company provided the casework, athletic equipment, auditorium seating and telescoping bleachers for the new K-12 building.

FEC provided 504 Quattro Tradition Chairs manufactured by the Hussey Seating Company for Carlisle’s new auditorium. The seating layout includes plastic laminate end panels with aisle lights.  Meanwhile, the lower left seating section of chairs came with tablet arms. Moreover, SHP selected matching school colors for the Quattro Traditional Chair’s fabric and finishes.

The gymnasium scope of work included athletic equipment from Performance Sports Systems, including basketball backstops, a roll up divider curtain and a batting cage. Hussey Seating Company provided Telescopic Bleachers with Auto-Rotating Aisle Rails and hinged floor steps to reduce set up time.

There are three separate banks of bleacher seating for the high school gymnasium, giving it the feel of an arena-type venue. Additionally, Hussey bleaches were installed in the middle school gym. SHP chose matching school colors for the CourtSide seat modules.

Stevens plastic laminate casework and cabinets/counter tops were installed throughout the building. This includes elaborate reception’s desks, general storage cabinets for classrooms, cubbies and lockers for elementary classrooms and mobile storage cabinets. Stevens provided instrument storage casework for the high school music classrooms.

The high school science lab and fume hoods were provided ICI. The selection of the Empire Oak Series created a nice feel for the cabinets, as well as the epoxy resin countertops and sinks.

In conclusion, the Carlisle K-12 project included a large variety of scopes that Farnham Equipment Company installed and delivered promptly.  Farnham Equipment Company is selected by CMRs and GC’s because of its extensive product offering, experience, reliability and in-house installation. These qualities add substantial value to each project.
